According to M. Roche (see thread above), HTTracker does not wait for
authentication requests, rather it sends upser:passwd@ automatically with an
url.  If that passwd is sent to a server that doesn't require it, then it
would seem to be a security problem, since "third party" servers would find
out user logins to other sites....

On the other hand, if I want to check links going from one page to other
servers, some of those links requiring a login, others not, how can I get
around this?
I know that I could run this by gathering the links and adding them to a
filter, but this process is to run as a cronjob when I'm not at the machine.
