I am still seeing this zero byte hts-log.txt problem
with v3.15, even on totally new site downloads.
Sometimes it works once and creates the log, but it
seems on subsequent downloads it simply deletes the
log once it finishes the website download.

Does this have anything to do with a flashing 'View
Error Log' button once the website download finishes?
Doing some diagnostics tells me that the log _IS_
being created during the crawl, but sometime near the
end of the crawl, or as the crawl finishes up, the log
is deleted or overwritten with zero bytes. I know
this because I can copy the hts-log.txt to another
folder DURING the crawl and see entries that should be
in the final log, yet when the crawl finishes the
resultant hts-log.txt is empty (zero bytes). (Windows
will allow you to copy a locked file but not open it
with r/w access directly).

Any info about this, and about the external links
question/problem I posted a few days ago?
Thanks in advance :)
