Use bandwidth limiters: set one or all of the 
following: (see HTTrack/Options/..)
- the number of simultaneous connections to  1 or 2
- the maximum transfer rate to something like <10KB
- the maximum number of connection per second to 1 or 2

This will reduce the bandwidth hog and the server 
overload.
