Per the instructions of the tutorial, in the example, the filter settings to
be used were:
-*
+www.blitzbasic.com/Home/_index_.php
+www.blitzbasic.com/Manuals/_index_.php
+www.blitzbasic.com/b3ddocs/*
+*.png +*.gif +*.jpg +*.css +*.js

Had you done something along the same lines, you *would* have filtered out the
"logout link" by default (-*).

I need to suggest you make a backup copy of the entire 550MB (-ish) of the
mirror before you make any changes to it.  Else you could possibly lose it for
good.

Regardless, you're probably just using the wrong starting URL (i.e. local html
file) to begin with.  Assuming the mirror was accomplished correctly, there
would be no "login" to access the localised copy.  I can't tell you how to do
this, but you should be able to go directly into the content.  If you're
hitting a login prompt at index.html, for example, you could try entering the
mirror at index2.html.

Look around and you should be able to figure it out...
