Subject: Merge mirrors of different parts of same site?

For large sites, I will often break up a mirror into smaller sections. For
instance, consider a forum with a very active "tech" section, but where the
other sections see a lot less activity or are of less interest. I will have
the tech section set up separately so I can update the mirror for that section
more often and run the update for other sections less frequently.

What I would like to know is if there is a way to merge two mirrors. I realize
I can just merge the folders and let the newer files overwrite the older ones,
but I'm wondering if proxytrack can be leveraged in any way to help rewrite
any links that need to be updated for the mirror to function as expected.

If proxytrack is not the right tool for this, I would appreciate any guidance
or tips from anyone that has managed to "merge" mirrors of different parts of
the same site.

I realize that even if there is a way to do this, it will probably break the
existing ETAGs. So, as a "wishlist" item for Xavier (or anyone who knows C),
it would be great if httrack supported a "mirror merge" mode. Where you could
point it at two httrack mirrors and httrack can scan thru the hts-cache
folders and spit out a single hts-cache folder as well as update the links of
html files to be relative where appropriate so the resulting "merged mirror"
works as expected.

Thanks in advance for any help :)
