It appears that I am partly correct.

There are other files from the site within the local browser cache for some of
the site content.

However the index.swf in the local browser cache is the same file that httrack
has copied.

The difference is that when I play the index.swf file in the local browser
cache it connects to the Web site to play the content.

When I copy the index.swf to another location locally and play the file, it
just plays the single frame. Essentially some sort of copy protection, to
bypass I guess you need to record the video within the browser.
