| Langtang valley trek allocates in the hidden Tibetan Valley in the Langtang

scenery, soaring glaciers, waterfalls and a wide diversity of flora and fauna.

The trail from Dhunche (1950m) ascends gradually through rhododendron and
bamboo forests, assisting acclimatization with gradual effort. It passes
through both Tamang and Tibetan settlements that offer you the opportunity to
experience the friendliness of the people and the differences in their
cultures and lifestyles. Gompas (monasteries), chortens (Buddhist monuments),
mani walls (prayer walls): walk clockwise around them) and colourful prayer
flags are attractive features along the way.
Forests and terraced farms gradually give way to open rocky ground as the
trail ascends to its highest point at Kyanjin Gompa (3870m). From here, an
optional half day trek, up to 4600m, on Tserko Ri (4984m) may be made. It
offers stunning views of Langtang Lirung (7227m) and the lower part of one of
its glaciers.Visit the cheese factory at Kyanjin Gompa supported by the Swiss
government.
