Maybe it is a HTTrack question because different applications work in
different ways with Tor. It is important to ask this question because perhaps
HTTrack sends my real IP as part of a HTTP request through the Tor network
then my anonymity would be no longer, example is Bittorent which does this for
example. So it seemed application specific.

I guess I should be asking the developer about that so I have emailed him too.
It is the other question I wanted to ask too you see.

Good point and here are the exact informations

First I make a new project and then I enter a web address with all the default
options set except for proxy server which I change to 127.0.0.1 and port 9051
so HTTP requests should go through Tor.

That is the plan but maybe I make a mistake here.

So then it tries to download and I straight away get an alert box.

It says

"** MIRROR ERROR! **
HTTrack has detected that the current mirror is empty. If it was an
update, the previous mirror has been restored.
Reason: the first page(s) either could not be found, or a connection
problem occured.
=> Ensure that the website still exists, and/or check your proxy settings!
<="

The website does exist, I have no problem downloading it from web normally. So
there is some issue with proxy I have the idea but I do not know how to
solve..

The error log reads
