| Aside from the __friend__ thing, I agree with you x. There is a problem with
the recent WinHttrack versions not grabbing certain images from certain css
files. A problem in the sense that older versions of WinHttrack didn't have
the issue. I think someone posted about it on this forum, maybe a month or two
ago, but I don't recall if the post got a reply, and looking now I didn't
locate the post.
I don't know if using the near flag would fix the issue or not. I think I
tried using the near flag on a site one time to see if it would grab the not
mirrored images, but I don't remember the results. I have my own reasons for
preferring not to use the near flag anyway.
Another thing I noticed a few days ago is one site that I have been mirroring
pages from for years has a jpg graphic link in its body tag code, the recent
WinHttracks don't grab the jpg.
<BODY bgcolor="#fffeee" text="black" link="blue" aLink="#0002d8" vLink
="#9c00b3" style="background-image: url(/images/ku_07_clarence.jpg);
background-repeat: repeat;">
I know, if I don't post about a problem it can't be investigated. So enough
about my telling of things I have recently noticed. Well, just posting now
that x is correct. There is an issue that didn't exist in older WinHttrack
versions. I don't know about Linux or Mac versions.
