In the rather unlikely event that anyone else ever sees this, it had to be that
the site moved to https, probably then disallowing plain http access
altogether.

The solution ought to be to either replace http with https in the affected
links or to add https versions of them.

Httrack seems then to be able to update the project fine, without
redownloading the stuff previously obtained through http (if such stuff hasn't
been changed).
