Change
Options > Spider > Check document type
to "Never"

It does not make sense though, as detecting the target type should for
unrecognized binary types conclude the file is application/octed-stream

Also, if you then try to set size limit per file,
the "Max size of any non-HTML file" has no effect,
setting "Max size of any HTML file" would work for these non HTML files.
