I've experimented a little more and found that by
unchecking the "Save all files in cache" box and leaving
the Base Path blank (the words "Base Path" are still greyed
out) I can get the downloads to download to a single
folder, which WinHTT names the same as the project name, in
the root directory C:/

I can then move this folder to my Iomega Drive. Not a very
elegant solution, but it will suffice.

  This is definitely NOT the normal behaviour - di you
  install httrack using the httrack.com site archive?If possible, can you try
using 3.30-RC ?http://www.httrack.com/index.php?p=2#beta
