No - modern distros are really easy:

On Debian, the only thing you need to do is:
apt-get install webhttrack
(and tou have graphical GUIs for that so you don't EVEN 
have to type this line!)

On Mandrake, (web)httrack is also packaged (thanks Lenny!) 
and can be easily installed

Unfortunately (web)httrack is not (yet) available on 
RedHat. If someone has a contact at redhat, I would be 
really glad to help them package httrack.
