Just bringing this back from the dead - I think it relates 
to my problem right now I just posted about.

Was this every implemented? :)

Exact situation - want to mirror main page and images, and 
all of it's links and images - just 1 level.

Increase the recursion, boom, explodes with so much more, 
only to get the images. :|
