Subject: after install of deb package on linux: probl

Hello,

I've been using Webhhtrack on Win98SE with no problem worth
reporting.

I'm rather new to linux (Debian-based Libranet 2.7), and
used apt-get install webhttrack. Nothing went wrong apparently.

When I ran the program, I got an unfamiliar screen in Greek,
and after choosing English from the combo box and clicking
on the button below the box, I got the message: "connection
refused to hostname: xxx" where "hostname" stands for the
name of my computer, and "xxx" some numbers referring to the
host seen as server probably. I was running this as user not
as root.

I removed the package and installed again. I'm no longer
getting the Greek screen but a simple message with
connection refused, and <http://hostname:xxx> is shown in
Mozilla URL bar.

NB: It'd be nice if instructions for nitwits like me were
included somewhere on the site as to how to compile or
configure the app from the tar.gz file when apt-get fails to
do the job.

I hope someone can help me to use this great app on Linux!

Cheers,

bealach
