There are no errors in the log file -- it seems to run
correctly but *very* slow. The average transfer rate is
~1300 bytes/sec in the log file. The CPU on the local
windows machine running WinHTTrack is mostly idle. The
CPU on the server is also mostly idle. But there doesn't
seem to be any network issue either (and other products
can transfer the data very quickly). It is very strange.
The pages are dynamic php/mysql pages. But I have also
checked the mysql server and it doesn't seem to be getting
bogged down at all (and the database is indexed the same
as the original; and again, other products run very fast).
I tried your suggestions. Taking off the setting for
keeping the connections alive didn't seem to make any
difference. However, setting the "Force old HTTP 1.0
requests" seems to help. It now runs reasonably well
(although not as fast as I would have expected based on
the new server). I can get a transfer rate now ~19000
bytes/sec in the log file.
I'm running Mandrake Linux 10.0.
Any other ideas or explanations would be greatly
appreciated.
