I would like to get started and compile the new version of 
httrack source (WinHTTrack\src_win) but I get some error 
messages in the microsoft visual c+ 6.0 compiler.

directory
    fatal error C1083: ... (and more)

I am not familiar enough to work on a project with multiple 
workspaces. The most I can discern is that the files at 
least exist.
