This is probably due to an infamous javascript code 
embedded in all the pages, which checks the parent URL, 
which is NOT <http://whatever>, but rather <file://localhost> 
(because you mirrored the site). If this is the case, there 
is no solution I fear.

It can also be a referer problem/protection (less probable) 
on the remote server
