We start with a page
<http://user:pass@site.com/widgetdir/index.html>

then it seems like if it walks down, to
<http://user:pass@site.com/widgetdir/morewidgets/index.html>
and then up to something like:
<http://user:pass@site.com/thingamagig/index.html>
it will lose the pass, so it ends up like
<http://site.com/thingamagig/index.html>
and goes unauthorized.  Am I crazy or is that a little wierd?
