| I have used WinHTTrack from time to time for many years, so this afternoon I
decided to find the same for my Linux notebook (ie. the same notebook at other
times booted in WinXP).
I quickly found the instructions and was able to get Ubuntu (Debian) to
install webhttrack without incident, but on running it I found that it
requires a local web server. Apache is not installed by default in this Ubuntu
Debian distribution.
Some hours later I now have Apache running (download via dialup modem, plus
configuration), but now I find that
The requested URL /server/step2.html was not found on this server.
Apache/1.3.33 Server at ibmr30-ig-ubuntu Port 8080
Presumably, as there was no web server at installation time webhttrack didn't
install its files there.
Should I just do the webhttrack install again? Should I uninstall webhttrack
first? | |
