Thanks for your reply, but I still can not imagine
how the entire process works.

Every file written must come from, at least,
one link, so there is no point in having more files than 
links scanned and validated...
(where do those files come from ?)

To make things clearer, if I've validated 10 links 
(out of 50, for example) and I observe 15 files 
written, as every file written must come from a link, 
either there are 5 files that dont have any origin, 
or those files have been written but not validated 
yet !?
I suposse I need to know how HTTrack works (as a whole).

Xavier, are you there ?
