I just spent the last week trying different managers that crashed or didn't do
a good job. I finally downloaded httrack - this is a fantastic program. It's
far superior to any other that I tried.

I also lost the images on my first attempts. It turns out that other download
programs consider images to be part of that level. So when I downloaded a site
that had an index page with many articles on a separate link, I set the
download level to 2. This downloaded all the html files but the images were
lost.

I finally figured that httrack considers the images to be another level, and
increased the download level to 3. Bingo! That solved the problem.
