It's a relatively new feature.  Like Annajiat suggests, that while the program
is updated regularly the documentation usually does not get the same
attention.

The option will attempt to "reuse" connections to the server (if the server
supports it) instead of having to close and reopen a connection for every file
downloaded.  This helps a little with server load and transfer speeds.
