After some initial testing it appears that the beta version has indeed fixed
the 4273 error. However, I'm having some difficulty with php files not being
converted to html and also  it seems to ignore the -O option to specify where
the mirror should be saved. I tried the exact same parameters with 3.40.3 and
3.41.15 (with patch 1 applied) and 3.40 behaves as expected. 

I didn't check each option in the man page to see if they had changed but the
-O option should have still been ok.

Please let me know if you'd like a full bug report (and where to post it?). I
just thought I'd comment on this in case anyone else feels like trying the
linux beta.
