| The problem also occurs with 3.16
If you "continue an interrupted" download, it does not continue, it starts
over from the beginning.
I downloaded and installed 3.42 and problem is still there.
IT WILL NOT CONTINUE AN INTERRUPTED DOWNLOAD!
I have wasted about 25 hours on one site this past week because of the
"continue" option not working.
Is there a list of known bugs posted somewhere?
On top of the "continue" problem, 3.42 is giving me thousands of messages
about a bit of bad HTML in one file.
3.16 produced one error message and then went on with its work. 3.42 is
creating thousands of messages. It just spits them out continuosly once it
encounters the file with the bad HTML.
The log got to 37MB - that's right, 37 megabytes! - before I killed the
download to look for ways to prevent it.
I think I've worked out an exclude which will work but it has cost me at least
5 hours tonight.
I just checked, it did skip the bad file and is continuing (the site is about
600MB in size).
Now I'll have to download the file manually, fix the HTML error, and change
the all the links that are not relative myself - hang on, I think I have 3.16
on an old system somewhere, maybe I can find it and use it to get that one
page ----- worth a look at a few systems...
Question about the zlib DLL - where was it put when the install for 3.16 was
run? It is now installed in the directory where you install the program a but
back on 3.16 it seems to be somewhere else. I'm not at that system right now,
I'm borrowing time on a system with DSL to try and get this freaking site
mirrored. I'll have to poke around in that other system to see where the zlib
DLL is located.
As to the continue problem - is it also present in 3.33?
That's the oldest version on the web site.
If you want me to, I'll post a message showing you the bad HTML and the
messages being generated - let me know if you want it. It will take me some
time to dig out the details and get them into a message.
