Is it possible to maintain the file extensions even though it will be html
inside (no preparsed code like php or asp.)

The reason I want to do this is because I use a script I wrote to scan the
directories and make a html sitemap from this. Unfortunately, anything that
once had a .asp or .php extension now is renamed to .html and the link in the
sitemap is wrong.

Any ideas much appreciated!
