Aha! -r3 with -%e3
Setting an external depth lower than the internal one has no sense for the
engine: the external links are "temporarily" considered as part of the
internal mirror, and setting an internal depth lower than the external one
just does not work.
The same mirror seems to work with -r4%e3.
But anyway, the best solution is to use scan rules (filters): -r and -%e
options are a bit aging options, needed at a time when httrack did not have
any filtering features.
