| Thanks for reading. I really need some help ASAP for a last-minute Xmas
present...
I'm trying to mirror my mother's blog so that I can turn the offline copy into
a CD for her. She wants something she can give friends that don't have
internet access.
The site is here: <http://familychatterbox.blogspot.com/>
I've tried a few settings using HTTrack. The problem is, the site (as a blog)
is full of recursive links - basically, every post links to every other post
that month, as well as every month of the year, and every past year.
With default settings, I'm getting dozens of duplicate identical copies of
every blog post. The site is HUGE - I gave up after a couple gigs.
What is the best way to deal with this? Basically, I want to change settings
(mirroring depth? filters?) such that I come out with one offline copy of
each post.
With mirroring depth of 2, I get a copy of each individual post from
Sept/Oct/Nov/Dec this year, but only an archive by month of Jan-Aug this year,
and only an archive page by year of 2006 and 2007!
Please advise as soon as you're able, and thank you so much for your help! | |
