It is possible that the "secondary" links are located 
outside the domain (in another web address) or in upper 
directory structure - in this case use filters

Eg - if your site is www.someweb.com/smith/ and the 
first page referers to www.someweb.com/john/, use the 
filter +www.someweb.com/john/* to ensure that these 
pages will be caught. The same for foreign domains you 
want to download and which can be reffered from the 
website: +www.anotherweb.com/foobar/* and so on..
