Yes, of course you are right but the site architecture under which I am
constrained requires page suffixes. Changing to .cfm would allow me to use
scripts and includes that add functionality.

I can change all the suffixes using a bulk rename program and search and
replace via Dreamweaver all .html for.cfm, but it would be wonderful if I
could skip these tow steps by locating the place in the HTTRACK script that
assigns .html and swap it for .cfm.

Any hints?
