Do all these files exist in the hts-cache folder?

As far as I know, these files *are* the cache.
Which directory exactly did the scan empty?

If you choose *update*, you're telling httrack to check the server for new
versions of what you have already before getting stuff you don't have yet.
If the server is smart, it will actually check to see if the file has changed
and tell you if it's the same so you don't have to download it again.
If the server is dumb, it will always think it has a newer version, so you'll
basically download the whole site again.
Try *continue* instead of update. I think it will tell httrack to pick up from
where it left off without checking all the existing files again. | |
