I've tried to download messages from comp.std.c++, for example.

I've tried to use the following link first:

<http://groups.google.com/group/comp.std.c>++

04:58:42 Warning:  Moved Temporarily for
groups.google.com/d/forum/comp.std.c++
04:58:42 Warning: Redirected link is identical because of 'URL Hack' option:
groups.google.com/d/forum/comp.std.c++ and
<https://groups.google.com/d/forum/comp.std.c>++
04:58:42 Warning: File has moved from groups.google.com/d/forum/comp.std.c++
to <https://groups.google.com/d/forum/comp.std.c>++
04:58:42 Warning: No data seems to have been transferred during this session!
: restoring previous one!

Then I've tried to use <https://groups.google.com/d/forum/comp.std.c>++

05:01:36 Warning: HTML file (721 bytes) retransferred due to lack of cache:
<https://groups.google.com/d/forum/comp.std.c>++
05:01:37 Warning: Retry after error -4 (Interrupted transfer) at link
<https://groups.google.com/d/forum/comp.std.c>++ (from primary/primary)
05:01:37 Warning: HTML file (721 bytes) retransferred due to lack of cache:
<https://groups.google.com/d/forum/comp.std.c>++
05:01:38 Warning: Retry after error -4 (Interrupted transfer) at link
<https://groups.google.com/d/forum/comp.std.c>++ (from primary/primary)
05:01:38 Warning: HTML file (721 bytes) retransferred due to lack of cache:
<https://groups.google.com/d/forum/comp.std.c>++
05:01:39 Error: "Interrupted transfer" (-4) after 2 retries at link
<https://groups.google.com/d/forum/comp.std.c>++ (from primary/primary)
05:01:39 Warning: No data seems to have been transferred during this session!
: restoring previous one!

What am I doing wrong? How can I fix it?
