Hello,

I've been tasked with making an offline local directory containing the EFF's
Surveillance Self Defense project.

ssd.eff.org

I've been trying for the last two days to get HTTrack to play along : backup
from the root down of the subdomain only and not the root of the whole eff
domain, but either I get multi-gigabytes backups or 200kb jobs which usually
just grab index.html.

After failing with the whole subdomain I tried breaking down the tasks by
language directory. In order to retrieve the English language section I tried
using the following parameters as suggested in a post in this forum ( :

-q -%i -w ssd.eff.org/en/ -%e99 -C2 -%P -n -x -s2 -%s -%u -N0 -p7 -D -a -K0
-c8 -%k -Q -F "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; I; rv:33.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/33.0" -%F "<!-- Mirrored from %s%s by HTTraQt Website Copier/1.x
[Karbofos 2012-2017] %s -->" -%l ua,en -O "/home/lisap/My Web
Sites/EFF-English/" +*.png +*.gif +*.jpg +*.css +*.js -ad.doubleclick.net/* -*
+ssd.eff.org/en/*

But I end up with a single html file. Why? Is it the " -* " argument?
If I enter the whole domain with no setting tweaks it seems the software does
not stay on the sub and starts downloading stuff from other places, running
for hours and exceeding the size expected for the sub.

Would anyone be kind enough to help me get the settings right? I'm surprised
the EFF does not host a downloadable version of their guide...or at least
github it. :-/

Thanks for any help in this! :)
