Hi Brd, no disrespect, but your involvement seems to be really pointless and
fails to achieve the purpose of a support forum so my advice is that you
should spend your time in more productive ways than replying to messages in
this forum in the manner that you have replied to mine.

(1) You didn't address at all the issue that I have raised
(2) Once I explained why I am trying to do what I am trying to do, you
provided zero concrete information. Just saying that there are "better ways"
to do something, without even hinting at what these ways are is worthless.

I would suggest that that you find an alternative pastime than writing
anonymous cryptic and judgmental posts which serve no useful purpose at all
apart from apparently boosting your sense of self-worth in a quite sad and
pitiful way.

In the meantime, I would like to add that httrack works just fine mirroring
exactly the same website on ubuntu running on localhost, so it seems to be a
windows issue. Having "much better ways" to turn a dynamic site into a static
one, as we have been blessed to be enlightened by your superior wisdom, has
absolutely nothing to do with the fact that httrack does not seem to work on
windows with a local site running on XAMPP.
