Yes, this is correct.
I have the same problem with firefox 62 and internet explorer 11 both running
on windows 10: 
a large number of google advertisement is displayed on top, including weired
romance scamming and adut content, but relevant forum search results are
displaed at the very end of the page with no scroll bar to scroll down.

So, curretly, there is no tool to search this forum efficiently.
