Err, if you are using a *gateway*, the windows/linux should
be configured to access it, whatever the program you are
using. This should be configured in the routine parameters
(default route == your router address) such as
Windows: Network settings / TCP/IP / Default gateway
Linux: route add default gw <your gateway address>
If the "gateway" is in fact a proxy, you should enter the
proxy address and port in Options/Proxy, that's all.
