yes, I noticed the same behavior with the embedded Google search.

As you have noticed, this forum does not bother you to create a forum account.
This means vice versa, that you don't get a notification via email once a
reply arrives - obviously.

The only thing left is, to check the forum again.

It appears to me also that the posts here are ordered by the timestamp of the
initial post, and responses - no matter when they arrive - have no further
influence on the sort order.
