| SUBJECT: Seeking Advice on Finishing Up Interrupted HTTrack Process
Hello HTTrack Team,
I'm currently enjoying using your wonderful software. However, I recently
faced an issue and would appreciate your guidance on its resolution.
I was running a sizable website mirror using the CLI and decided it's now
large enough. So, I ended the process prematurely. On checking the downloaded
content, I notice that all downloaded files still have a '.tmp' extension.
I spent quite some time scouring the internet, browsing through forums, even
consulting AI services like chatgpt. The most recommended solution seems to be
"--continue -i". However, when I tried this, it merely resumed the download
process, which is not what I desire.
I understand the importance of defining a definitive scope before the
initiation of the process. But now, I'm in a situation where I have an almost
2 gigabytes of website content downloaded, and I just want to tidy up its
current state and proceed with my work.
Could you kindly suggest what command or set of commands I could utilize to
make HTTrack clean up the process as it stands? Particularly, I'm seeking a
way to remove the '.tmp' extensions and not carry out further downloads.
Thank you in advance | |
