1- Ensure that you do not need to define a proxy (see Set 
Options / proxy). Generally these problems are lack of 
proxy problems. Also ensure that the proxy port is OK 
(example: address: proxy.myisp.com and port: 8080)

2- If everything is allright with the proxy, this might be 
a bug -- in this case please provide more information
