This is normally automatic (especially when specifying 
+*.gif +*.jpg and so on.. in the scan rules)

When images are not detected this is due to too complex 
javascripting (example: with functions and arguments) ; the 
only solution is then to list all missing images URL and 
put them in a text file, and then use the URL list capture 
feature of httrack.
