| Hi Peter and Xavier,
I found a sort of workaround: if you make HTTrack use just 1 connection, the
number of different IDs or query strings used is reduced to a small amount (in
my case, from nearly 100 to just 8). The download takes longer, but it
(almost) works.
Maybe (until and if Xavier wants to invest some time on this) there could be
the following quick & dirty solution: Whenever HTTrack encounters a site using
session IDs, it automatically uses just 1 connection and therefore just one
session ID. If this is done 100%, then you should get only one instance of the
file. In my case, I got 8 instances of the files because, in spite of
restricting HTTrack to 1 connection, sometimes 2 connections were active.
In case some users find this solution not attractive, it could be incorporated
as an option.
As I am not a programmer, I don't know if this is feasible and usable, just my
thoughts.
Thanks and regards,
