Great idea.  I'll have to try that sometime for the sites 
that have a lot of PDF and other document type files.  For 
sites that are primarily dynamic in nature, this wouldn't 
save much time.

It would be nice to have an option to create all links in 
the mirrored site as local links, even if they reference 
links included in the project.  This could be accomplished 
during or through a conversion process started after the 
mirror was completed.

My largest problem is the MD5 hash of query strings.  It 
would be nice if an option was available to convert 
invalid filename characters to an acceptable replacement 
(? to @, etc).  This way, an Apache rewrite rule would be 
easier.

For now, if I can find the method to create the MD5 hash 
of the original query string, I may be able to add this 
functionality to my existing script that replaces absolute 
links to absolute links to the local Apache server.
