Interesting... I see what you mean now.  I can't make --update work either
(3.33 nor 3.40-B4).  I get the same error about the footer.

Makes me realise I don't know how --update gets the correct project options to
run itself.  It must parse them from somewhere - doit.log? winprofile.ini?  I
tried fiddling with those files to no avail.

Monsieur Roche, any comment?
