Subject: earlyer issued circumvention doesn't fit

when mirroring a list of 20.000 files within one website
tree, a subset of html-pages, with a lot of also outside
this subset pointing relative crossrefs, I can do this in
several ways, but none is satisfying.

-g will put them all unmodified to one directory level, so
the tree structure is lost and duplicate fienames at
different subdirs are lost.

-* filter forces endless scanning for decision of int/ext
references; No Expert option for "as is" int/ext refs

-r0 forces writing the .readme files, wasting disk space
(large NTFS blocksize)
