Yes I know - this is not clearly illegal (according to the
General Public License), except maybe if the company is
removing all credits (author's name).

Yes, this is a bit sad. Selling GPL softwares is perfectly
okay, but changing the program name and -maybe ?- removing
credits is not a very honest way of earning money.

AFAIK, the GPL is not violated (except maybe the "minimal
distribution fee of $50" which is a bit high - $5 would be
a "reasonnable fee" ("reasonnable" as per GPL)), but there
might be some other rules broken (I'm not a lawyer - so I
can't tell precisely).
Anyway this is not a really important matter, many people
already know HTTrack and will never buy "their" product.
