If I understand well, this link:
'../view2/id2%3Aid2?OpenDocument'
is located in:
'/path/db.nsf/view1/id1%3Aid1?OpenDocument'
and therefore points to:
'/path/db.nsf/view2/id2%3Aid2?OpenDocument'

?
This should work (this is a trivial case!) - I really 
don't see the potential problem?! Any '<base href>' or 
codebase in the html code? Can you send me the
