This is probably too late to help you, but I experienced a similar problem when
using the -p0 option (scan only, do not download).  Interestingly, it worked
on 3 out of 4 mirrors, but not on the fourth.  I run these mirrors with a
cronjob to tell me if links on some of my pages are broken.  All four mirrors
were identical (different urls, of course), but I had to take the p0 option
out of one of them, since it seemed to produce a seg. fault.  Without this
option it seems to run OK.
