Random thoughts:
1. Try using
<http://download.httrack.com/cserv.php3?File=httrack-beta.exe>
<http://www.httrack.com/page/2/en/index.html>

2. Save the existing project settings, check the harddisk for errors(surface
scan)

3. Delete the old project and start new project

4. Check if IE is in offline mode.

5. Try SP2, warning, PC will become slow.

6. Copy the project from laptop to desktop.

7. Check your download path.

8. Check your PCs internet connectivity.
