This program looks really good.

But on trying it I was disappointed that the process of setting a base path
using the 'browse' function does not give you an option to create a new folder
(for the mirror/download). You have to create the new folder first and then go
into HTT and navigate to the newly created folder.

I think you should be able to create new mirror locations 'on the fly'
