| Hi all
First I'm a linux newbie and a non native english speaker, so I'm sorry for
any unclean use of the language ^^
I tried to install httrack 3.40.3 on Fedora Core 5 (updated with yum), but it
seems either I did something wrong or it will just not work like this
(./configure; make; make install). I get several errors like this:
ln: creating symbolic link `html/html' to `../doc/httrack/html': File exists
make[3]: *** [install-data-hook] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/root/Desktop/httrack-3.40-2/httrack-3.40.3/html'
make[2]: *** [install-data-am] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/root/Desktop/httrack-3.40-2/httrack-3.40.3/html'
make[1]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/Desktop/httrack-3.40-2/httrack-3.40.3/html'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
Further, when I start webhttrack in the terminal, it start's Firefox with this
URL: <http://www.open-mpi.org/community/lists/users/2005/11/0315.php>
What can I do? Why exists not an eeasy installer like yum (I know, because
nobody have done it, but I can not understand why "they" make it so hard for
newbies to migrate from Linux, I mean in this specific thing is Windows so
easy and that's nothing bad...sorry for this pamphlet..just frustrating at the
moment)?
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks,
